VCE Tip One: Studying Demands

February 29th, 2016  |  Published in e-news, English teacher resource

Studying the VCE is a demanding course both intellectually and on a student’s time.

As well as time management a student needs to ensure that they maintain good health if they want to achieve their personal best.

Studying for long hours, especially in front of a screen, can be tiring causing eyestrain and discomfort. One way to relieve this is to palm your eyes. To do this, close your eyes and cover them with the palms of the hands with the fingers on the forehead. The palms should rest upon the cheek bones. Do not touch your eyeball or eyelid, nor press hard. This practice excludes the light and allows the eyes to relax and refresh. A few minutes are all that is needed. www.theage.com.au/education
