Biography in brief

A number of years ago I completed an advanced certificate in Professional Writing.

Before publishing my first work of fiction in 2013. As a teacher, I have written and been published professionally. This has included reviewing unsolicited texts for publishing houses and the Victorian Association for the Teaching of English (VATE). I have written coursework materials, presented at professional conferences and to senior secondary school English student.

My Fiction is supernatural tales of terror

These are short intense reads.

The tales don’t rely on current clichés, such as vampires, werewolves, teen witches or adolescent romance. Supernatural threat drives the plot, where Gothic themes permeate each tale.

Hauntings, possession, the traditional ghost story and the supernatural loom large, and often serve as metaphors for modern life dilemmas. Horror pervades, and is difficult to comprehend and contain, and it’s these elements which terrify.

Fear inflicts readers with a menacing atmosphere, evoking malaise, as the source of evil is unrelenting.
