Choosing a tutor

  • Parents seeking a teacher to tutor their child should ensure that the tutor has a current VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration card
  • Some tutors and organisations may have certificates which they claim are equivalent to teacher registration
  • It is wise to ensure that the teacher you engage to tutor your child is a qualified expert in the subject area. Be wary of providers who claim to teach numerous subjects at all levels.

Tertiary Tuition

This differs from regular tuition in that it is short term and focusses on the writing of a particular task. For example, the extended essay, literature review, research report and minor thesis.

This service is offered exclusively by Douglas McClenaghan, who holds a Master’s Research Degree in Education.

Sessions are usually taken in 2 hour blocks, clients are casual. This service is short-term and subject to availability.
