Winter News 2015 – Editor’s Notes

May 25th, 2015  |  Published in e-news, English teacher resource

As winter sets in the tone of the first newsletter is of cold nights by the fire and Gothic landscapes under grey skies.

This autumn I released my latest novel, Who’s Watching Samantha? a tale of supernatural horror. Since completing the novella, The Lester, I am working on a subsequent draft of a companion novella, Lightning Strikes and another untitled story all which will be available second half of 2015.

As part of my writer research I read and review other writers’ works. Reviews feature exclusively on Amazon (some can be found on my blog). I have an Amazon reviewer’s profile page where you can more of my reviews.

There are over 3 million reviewers, currently I’m ranked below 50,000 with an 87% helpful rating. This edition features Ex Machina, currently screening at the cinema and Sleepy Hollow an American Gothic tale evocative of dark chilly nights.

As VCE students grind their way through the course, prepare for SACS, I have included tips and a model Language Analysis. For those unfamiliar with the school program, analysis of a media text is one of the essay types students are required to write in the VCE exam.

Before I selected topics and articles for the first and following newsletters, I bought a Tablet to take pictures that reflect the haunting landscapes and themes that feature in my stories.

Between newsletters you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and or come here to keep up with my news and publishing details.

Feedback and requests are welcomed.

Enjoy the read.
